Welcome to our web site.
The fact that you’re visiting the site suggests that you’re interested in mutual funds. With over 7,5001 funds available to you today, what is it about Pax World Funds that warrants your attention?
We believe it’s our investment approach. Sustainable Investing is the full integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into investment analysis and decision making. By combining rigorous financial analysis with equally rigorous ESG analysis, our portfolio managers seek to identify forward-thinking companies that are leaders in their industries, meet positive standards of corporate responsibility and focus on the long term.
We think Sustainable Investing is a better, smarter way to invest precisely because it focuses on the long term – and there is now considerable research by companies like Goldman Sachs2, McKinsey & Company3 and Innovest4 underscoring that the way companies handle environmental, social and governance issues is a very good clue to their future financial performance. In the wake of a global financial crisis and recession triggered by excessive risk taking, leverage and short-term thinking, there could be no more compelling reason to consider adopting a sustainable investing approach.
Pax World provides a range of investment products including a family of actively managed mutual funds, multi-manager asset allocation funds5, exchange traded funds (ETFs) and separately managed accounts6 for institutional investors. In all of our portfolios, we integrate sustainability concerns into our proxy-voting policies and frequently engage with companies to improve their environmental, social, governance and financial performance. As we have since launching the nation’s first socially responsible mutual fund in 1971, we continue to avoid investing in companies that are significantly involved in the manufacture of weapons or weapons-related products, manufacture tobacco products, or engage in unethical business practices.
Our portfolio managers are careful, disciplined market and stock analysts, attentive to trends, risk and the investment needs of long-term shareholders. We also try to be attentive to cost, and the long-term goal of each of our Funds is to provide competitive returns to our shareholders at below-average cost.
It may also interest you to know that we offer one of the lowest account minimums in the mutual fund business. While many mutual funds require $2,500 or even $5,000 to open an account, you can open an individual account at Pax World with an initial investment of only $250. This helps make our Funds available to all investors, no matter how much money they have to invest. We also offer institutional class shares and lower fee structures for investors with account minimums of $500,000.
In the final analysis, investing is largely about the future. We invest for our families, for our retirement, to advance the goals of the organizations and institutions we serve or support ― in short, we invest for tomorrow. I hope and trust that Pax World can serve your investment goals, and that working together we can make a small but meaningful contribution to a better and brighter tomorrow.
Thank you for visiting us, and please let us know if we can be of assistance.

5ESG Managers Portfolios are multi-manager funds, which are a mix of underlying Sleeve Subadviser portfolios and mutual funds. The Funds’ allocations may change due to market fluctuations and other factors. International and emerging market investments involve risk of capital loss from unfavorable fluctuations in currency values, differences in generally accepted accounting principles, economic or political instability in other nations or increased volatility and lower trading volume.
