Fourth Quarter 2014 Market Review and Outlook

Entering the fourth quarter of 2014, the U.S. Federal Reserve is on schedule to end its bond buying economic stimulus strategy in October. Less clear is timing for interest rate increases. Until interest rate expectations are more definite, Pax World believes current conditions remain favorable for U.S. equity and fixed income investments relative to international investments for investors seeking income and long-term capital appreciation. Specifically, in our view, stocks of companies that are currently increasing shareholder dividends and effectively addressing industry-specific sustainability issues offer the potential for both income and capital appreciation.
