- Agilent Technologies (A) – 1.3%
Agilent offers bio-analytical and electronic measurement products and services, which can be used to analyze air, water and soil quality.
- Cummins Inc. (CMI) – 1.7%
Cummins is a diesel engine manufacturer. As part of its auto components business line, Cummins has created fuel efficient and low-polluting engines along with fuel systems and catalytic exhaust products which provide emission solutions to medium and heavy duty truck manufacturers to achieve compliance with emission regulations. In addition, Cummins’ power generation equipment unit manufactures natural gas fired combined heat and power systems which have an increasing demand due to the high efficiency of gas compared to oil.

Valeo, an automobile components company, has strong programs to take advantage of clean tech opportunities. The company develops hybrid engines that significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions and other pollutants, and has developed an alternator-starter that cuts the engine when the vehicle is stationary, improving energy efficiency.

Thermo Fisher supplies machines to the testing market to analyze air, water and soil samples, making its business model one that supports environmental sustainability solutions.
- Trimble Navigation Ltd. (TRMB) – 1.2%
Trimble Navigation provides GPS solutions to a variety of industries that enable safety enhancement and reduction of environmental impact. The company’s products support monitoring of urban forestry health, environmental monitoring, fleet management tools that help to reduce carbon emissions and reduce energy use, and tracking food miles traveled, reducing carbon impacts associated with food transportation.
