Who manages the Pax World Growth Fund?
The officers of the Fund are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Fund, and the Board of Trustees of the Pax World Funds Series Trust I is responsible for the general oversight of the Fund. The Fund’s assets are managed by its investment advisor, Pax World Management Corp. with offices in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Pax World Growth Fund is co-managed by Christopher H. Brown and Anthony Trzcinka. Additional information about Mr. Brown and Mr. Trzcinka is provided below.
Mr. Brown has over 20 years of investment experience. He joined Pax World in April 1998 as co-manager of the Pax World Balanced Fund and has served as its sole manager since October 2001. Prior to joining Pax World, Mr. Brown was an Investment Consultant at Fahnestock & Co., Inc., a New York Stock Exchange brokerage firm, from 1987 to 1998, and a First Vice President from 1994 to 1998. He is a graduate of the Boston University School of Management with a concentration in finance.
Mr. Trzcinka Mr. Trzcinka has over 10 years of investment experience and 15 years of overall finance experience, and has been associated with the Adviser since 2003. Prior to joining the Adviser, he spent over 3 years at AEW Capital Management as an Assistant Vice President. He has an MBA degree from Northeastern University, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts and holds the CFA designation. He is a member of the Boston Security Analyst Society and the CFA institute.
What fees does the Pax World Growth Fund charge?
The Pax World Growth Fund does not charge any fees to purchase or redeem shares. (Prior to November 1, 1999, the Fund imposed a 2.5% front-end sales charge.) Advisory, legal, and other costs are charged against the Fund’s earnings. The Fund seeks to keep these expenses below 1.5% of net assets annually. If the investor chooses to invest through a broker/dealer or financial planner, these persons may charge a transaction or other fee for their services, in addition to the sales fee imposed by the Fund.
How are income and capital gains paid?
Dividends, if any, are paid on a semi-annual basis in the months of July and December. Capital gains, if any, will be distributed annually in the month of December. Investors can receive all dividends and capital gains in cash, reinvest all capital gains and dividends in their account, or receive all dividends in cash and reinvest all capital gains in their account. The daily net asset value reflects the accumulation of dividend income and capital gains that have been accrued but not distributed.
Does the Pax World Growth Fund accept IRA Plan accounts?
Yes, you can set up a new IRA account with the Pax World Growth Fund, or you can transfer your existing IRA account into the Fund. All Pax World Funds offer Traditional, Roth, SEP, SIMPLE, and Education IRA accounts. These accounts offer a variety of tax advantages for investors. How can I keep track of my investment’s performance?
Daily net asset values can also be found in the Performance Section of this Web site. Account statements are sent out whenever there is activity in an account and also on a quarterly basis. Both to save paper and keep expenses at a minimum, we do not send out monthly statements. Of course, shareholders also receive semiannual and annual reports which contain detailed information about the Fund’s performance as well as its holdings. The Fund Family also sends out a quarterly newsletter with articles, profiles, interviews, and other material that may interest shareholders.
